Dr. Carly Cassleman is a native to the Grosse Pointe area so naturally it was her desire to open her practice and settle down with her husband, Sean in the neighborhood in which she was raised. She took an interest in dentistry because she enjoyed her appointments with her family dentist and even worked in his office to gain experience and test the waters. Her curiosity in dentistry soon turned into a passion, and after attending the University of Michigan, her desire to serve patients launched her to pursue her calling in dentistry at the University of Detroit Mercy earning her a Doctor of Dental Science Degree. She then completed a residency in General Practice at the Ann Arbor Veterans' Health Administration.
Now that she has her own practice in St. Clair Shores, Dr. Cassleman is excited to offer patients a modern, fresh approach to dentistry. Dr. Lois Kovalchick has nearly 50 years of experience in the field of dentistry. Her career began as a dental assistant and she later earned a Dental Hygiene Degree and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Detroit. She went on to graduate second in her class from the University of Detroit Dental School in 1984.
She is a published author, having written a chapter titled "Continuing Education is Key to Finding the Right Cosmetic Dentist to Give You the Perfect Smile" in the book "A Cup of Coffee With 10 of the Top Dentists in the United States". All proceeds from the book were donated to charity. Dr. Kovalchick has been recognized as a "Top Dentist" by Detroit Hour Magazine and Styleline Magazine from 2008 to 2022, an award established through votes cast by her peers. In 2005, she received the Gold Medal Award in Cosmetic Dentistry from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). While attending the University of Detroit Dental School, she received multiple awards, including the Quintessence Award for Academic Achievement and the Francis B. Vedder Award for Achievement in Crown and Bridge Prosthodontics. Dr. Kovalchick is also a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and Detroit District Dental Association. She is well known for her warm personality, attention to detail, and dedication to helping patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles in a comfortable environment.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kovalchick enjoys swimming, Pilates, traveling, and spending time with her friends.
